Joseph Santoro, Ph.D.

He is the senior author of The Angry Heart, a self-help treatment guide for people with borderline personality disorders and dual diagnosis. He is also the co-author of Kill the Craving - a self-help guide for the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction.

Dr. Mark J. Stumacher, MD
Psychiatrist, Medical Director
Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology

Dr. Stumacher is a board certified psychiatrist.

He was trained at New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY where he received the Award for Academic Excellence. While in training, he also received the Resident Award from the psychiatric division of the Westchester Medical Society. He has received specialty training in psychotherapy, addictions and in consultation liaison psychiatry and was originator and editor of a newsletter devoted to the interface between medicine and psychiatry.

His previous position was as Medical Director of the Dual Diagnosis Adolescent Unit at Four Winds Hospital.

Dr. Stumacher has had a previous successful career as an anesthesiologist.

Shawn Prichard, Ph.D.
Psychologist, Clinic Director

Dr. Prichard is an expert in the treatment of mood and anxiety disorders. He is a cognitive-behavioral therapist with a PhD in clinical psychology.

Dr. Dave Moore, Ph.D.
Psychologist, Deputy Clinic Director

Dr. Dave Moore is a behavioral/cognitive behavioral psychologist and a specialist working with individuals with impulse control disorders. He has co-authored journal and newsletter articles and has worked as a chief data analyst on a nationally funded research grant. Dr. Moore has a background in the use of univariate and multivariate statistical analyses in examining survey and experimental study outcomes. In addition, he has presented at several national conferences and worked as a professor, disseminating research and presenting on topics ranging from the diagnostic process to innovative treatment modalities.

Michael Nuccitelli, Psy.D.
Psychologist

Dr. Nuccitelli is a New York State licensed psychologist. His doctoral degree is in clinical psychology graduating from the Adler School of Professional Psychology located in Chicago,Illinois. Dr. Nuccitelli is a Certified Forensic Consultant and a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychological Studies from the American College of Forensic Examiners Institute. He is also a New York State Certified Alcohol/Substance Abuse Counselor. Dr. Nuccitelli is a New York State D.M.V. treatment evaluator and a member of the New York State Law Guardian Panel. Dr. Nuccitelli is presently Chief Forensic Examiner for SLS Forensics, a part time psychologist for SLS SDL Case Management working with dually diagnosed young adults and a private practitioner.

Dr. Nuccitelli's areas of expertise are in child / adolescent psychology, young adult issues, trauma, marriage / relationship issues, forensics, criminal psychology, alcohol / substance abuse and celebrity psychology. Dr. Nuccitelli is clinically active, carrying a small group of patients and provides the community and media training and expert advice

Social Worker

Linda Padroff is a NY and CT Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a certified addiction´s specialist who obtained her Master´s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University. In her role as both a Psychotherapist and Director of Psycho-educational Groups at SLS Health, Ms. Padroff has combined her former teaching career, holding a Master´s Degree in Education from Brooklyn College in NY, with her clinical expertise, overseeing all of the psycho-educational groups at SLS Health.

Ms. Padroff interned at Rockland Psychiatric Center in NY and at Catholic Family Services in CT, and has been a group facilitator and individual therapist at The Country Place in Litchfield, CT and at Danbury Hospital´s Outpatient Chemical Dependency Center and Methadone Clinic prior to joining SLS Health. At SLS Health, while providing individual, group, couples and family therapy both at the residential and outpatient levels, Ms. Padroff has organized several family conferences on the treatment of Personality Disorders, Mood Disorders, Substance Abuse and Advances in Behavioral Health Treatment at SLS Health. She has also written proposals for SLS´s treatment of trauma recovery and supervises the Borderline Personality/Psychotrauma Tract. Ms. Padroff´s areas of expertise are: Dual Diagnosis, Dissociative Disorders, Borderline Personality Disorder, Substance Abuse and Family Therapy.

Clinical Social Worker

Lauren Miller, a NY Licensed Master´s Level Social Worker, received her Master´s Degree in Social Work from Fordham University, completing a specialized program in children and families. She interned in the Child Protective Unit of the NY Department of Social Services and in a CT Middle School, Social Work Department.

At SLS Health, Lauren holds a dual role as both a psychotherapist and the Director of Clinical Administration. As a psychotherapist her areas of expertise are individual therapy, and trauma recovery. She is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma recovery and ERP for the treatment of addictive behaviors. Ms. Miller has also organized a family conference on Thought Disorders. As the Director of Clinical Administration Lauren is responsible for supervising SLS´s adherence to the standards of the Mental Health Regulatory Accrediting Agencies.

Robert DeLetis, CASAC, CET
Senior CASAC Counselor

Robert DeLetis has been Senior Addictions Counselor at SLS Health Inc. for the past 14 years. Mr. DeLetis is an international and nationally certified alcohol and substance abuse counselor (CASAC). He is also the co-author of Kill the Craving, a book that introduces Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) to professionals and their clients. Mr. DeLetis has been utilizing this process to help the residential and outpatient clients to fight their addictions for the past 13 years. He has developed training seminars, in-service trainings, as well as created a full professional ERP kit. Over the years Mr. DeLetis has been employed in the criminal justice field, as a probation officer, and as a mental health counselor.

Social Worker
Lucille Aletti McLeod is a LCSW. Her field of expertise is in early childhood development and adolescent psychotherapy. Ms. McLeod is a graduate of Boston University and Fordham Graduate School. She also attended The William Alanson White Institute in New York City and completed a three year post graduate program in Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy. Ms. McLeod conducted groups with children that were victims of domestic violence in Putnam County and also facilitated groups of young children of alcoholics. Ms. McLeod then spent three years at Leake and Watts Residential Treatment Center, over seeing 18 psychiatric adolescent males. While there she did individual treatment, family work and discharge planning. Most recently she worked at Fordham Treatment Community mental Health Center in the Bronx, where she ran a Therapeutic nursery Program for at risk children, ages two and a half to 5 years of age, in conjunction with working with the parents to help them development appropriate parenting skills. She also has individual clients that ranged in age from 3 to 18. Ms. McLeod has had a private practice in Manhattan for the past three years. Ms. McLeod has had great success working with children in the treatment of ADHD, conduct disorder, depression, oppositional defiant disorder and bi-polar disorders. Her approach to treatment is interpersonal, using extensive play and art therapy and behavior modification techniques.

Dr. Trzasko has been awarded the Certificate of Professional Qualification in Psychology (CPQ) by the Association of State and Provincial Psychology Boards (ASPPB).

Dr. Trzasko's experience spans more than 30 years of graduate & undergraduate professorship, over 25 years of testing experience and more than 20 years of private practice. He is currently a Full Professor of Psychology (Undergraduate and Graduate Programs) and maintains an active private practice with a specialization in Psychological Evaluation. Dr. Trzasko is also Board Certified with Diplomat Status by the American Board of Forensic Examiners. He is and has been listed in several Who's Who, including Who's Who in America and Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare and is a contributing co-author to two professional texts with chapters on psychological evaluation of visually impaired pre-school children.
