Group Therapy The tragedy of a persistent behavioral health disorder casts a wide shadow. The friends and family of a suffering person endure countless hours of worry, vigilance, and heartbreak; daily life revolves around phone calls, research, and conferences with doctors.

The search for an appropriate, lasting solution for your loved one can feel overwhelming and confusing: Whom do you ask for advice? What questions do you ask? How do you choose a doctor? Which type of facility works best? Finding the right treatment program is indeed a daunting task.

Most hospital-based programs provide short lengths of stay that focus almost exclusively on stabilization and medication changes. Residential programs may be so overly specialized that they fail to address your loved one´s specific needs. Even promising solutions and well-meaning providers can yield results that fall short of expectations and when a good program is found your loved one may resist treatment and sabotage success.

You need dedicated, comprehensive, and effective treatment for your loved one. You want care that sees beyond a diagnosis, and honors your loved one´s uniqueness. For nearly two decades, SLS Health´s nationally recognized residential treatment (SLS Residential) and case management (SDL Case Management) programs and world-class professional staff have been successful in helping families like yours. In fact, approximately 90% of families who choose SLS say they would recommend us to a friend in need of similar services.

"In our darkest hours we never thought that our son would ever recover. It felt as if our lives were over, too."

Individual Therapy

Patients come from families-they are sons, daughters, spouses, brothers, and sisters. When a loved one is suffering, every member of the family is affected.

At SLS, we believe in the power of unity and shared purpose. We know the best clinical outcomes come from strong partnerships in the treatment process, and we foster productive alliances among patients, professionals, and families.

Good treatment is both compassionate and rigorous. Persistent behavioral problems don´t yield to quick fixes. The SLS staff engages each patient with passion and optimism-we believe in recovery even when a patient does not. We offer inspiration and support as we help our patients meet the challenges of the treatment process.

Together, we help patients and their families discover and celebrate each moment of success along the path of getting well.

"We can live up to three weeks without food, three days without water, yes we can live up to three minutes without air but we cannot live without hope."

The improvement in his life is tremendous and your organization has performed above and beyond my expectations.

In short thank you for returning my son to life."

- Mr. F.

SLS provides residential care through it MultiCare and PAT residential programs. It offers clinical services to its residential patients through its affiliated clinic that provides a full array of behavioral health services.

Most patients begin their recovery journey at MultiCare. Once their symptoms have been reduced and they are able to meet basic functional requirements of daily living such as personal care, room care, safety in the community and a working knowledge of their disorder and its treatment they can transfer to the PAT program.

At PAT they take on more responsibility for their daily lives including cooking, shopping, household care and budgeting. They can get a job, paid or volunteer, or continue their education by completing their GED or starting college or vocational training classes.

Once they become functionally involved in productive activities without an increase in symptoms or dysfunctional behaviors they can enter our outpatient case management program.

The case management program offers two options: Case management while the patient lives in an apartment which they lease or case management in a furnished apartment owned by the program which can be conveniently leased on a month to month basis. Case management services help the individual integrate and apply the skills and insights they learned at MultiCare and PAT in the "real world". Case management services provide a safety net so that errors and set backs do not lead to total failure. Clinical services are provided by the same team of professionals that worked with your loved one in the residential program. The clinic staff coordinates closely with the case management staff to ensure that you receive the best possible care.
