Psychotic disorders drastically alter a person´s life. Intrusive thoughts, paranoid feelings, mood swings, bizarre delusions and hallucinations make ordinary activities impossible to carry out. Once a psychotic episode passes, psycho-traumatic aftershocks such as severe self-doubt, depression, social and family isolation, denial, diminished mental functioning, and a reduced quality of life remain.
SLS´s residential programs effectively treat the symptoms of psychosis and its residual effects in a results-driven format that combines medication, cognitivebehavioral therapy, motivation therapy, life skill rehabilitation, career counseling, and group therapy into an individualized treatment plan.
Each patient works with his or her therapist, medication prescriber (psychiatrist or nurse practitioner), and activity counselor to achieve meaningful results.
